Skincare ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผ

Hey, guys! It’s been a week since I’ve posted, but I am back now! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผ

I also wanted to wait to post until I got a certain product in the mail that I wanted to test on my face. It’s the Shills Purifying Black Peel-Off Mask, which I’m sure if you’ve been anywhere near social media in the last few months, you will have seen it.

This product claims to yank nasty guck out of your pores, and if you watch the videos, it does seem to do exactly that, in a disgusting yet strangely satisfying sequence. Having always had pesky and annoying blackheads on my nose (๐Ÿ™„), I decided to give this a try.

After waiting 30 minutes as recommended, I peeled the mask off and my skin felt pretty amazing, not going to lie. Very smooth, and I can tell a big difference in my pores! ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿผ So, this has my vote of approval now! โœ”๏ธ

Skincare has always been something I’ve invested in. In high school, I always had problem prone skin. I tried everything from toothpaste (Never worked for me!) to home remedies like honey and who knows what else. The following are some more products I have discovered and love! Disclaimer: I’m not being paid to share this, just thought I would since it’s something I’m passionate about! โค

Cetaphil. An old favorite. I flip flop between the Normal to Oily Skin and just Normal variations and both are awesome. I have used this since high school because I liked how it never irritated my skin or dried it out. It’s a great cleanser!

Lumene 60 Second Glow Reveal. This is an exfoliating scrub. I love exfoliating scrubs because I feel like they just help rejuvenate me and slough off any dead skin. If you’re too impatient to wait around for a mask to dry, this is a great alternative!

Freeman Masks. I found this brand at Ulta and loved their price point (under $10). This smoothing banana mask ๐ŸŒ not only smells wonderful, but leaves my skin feeling so soft!

I’m also a fan of this anti-stress version. Who doesn’t love a blue mask? I miiiight have sang that Eiffel65 song while wearing this mask…๐Ÿ˜‚

I love these products and they leave me feeling clean and pampered!

What are some of your favorite skincare products? Any you would recommend or I should know about?

  1. I’m a fellow redhead and been reading your blog for a while now. I love masks and scrubs. My favorite scrub is the Acure Brightening Facial Scrub (https://www.acureorganics.com/brightening-facial-scrub.html). I like a scrub/exfoliator that really has some scrub to it and not just chemical exfoliators and this definitely has it along with a good mossy earthy smell. Plus, it’s good for you without all the chemicals and toxins. My favorite mask is the Purifying Charcoal Mask from Beautycounter (http://www.beautycounter.com/karenchason?goto=skin-care%2Fskin-prep%2Fpurifying-charcoal-mask.html). And I’m not just saying that because I sell Beautycounter products. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s not a peel mask but a “let it sit on your face and get hard” mask. I usually put it on for about 20 minutes and then get in the shower. Sometimes I even wash it off with my Clarisonic to get some exfoliation too. Both the Acure and Beautycounter are a little pricey but I feel like they are worth it as they are really pure, safe, perform well, and much more concentrated so a little goes a long way. Anyhoo, check out my blog if you would like. I’m a skincare/cosmetics and Etsy junkie and former pro petsitter. ๐Ÿ™‚ I like your blog because we have a lot in common!

    1. That is awesome!!! Thanks for the recommendations—I went through a phase of buying more makeup than skincare products and then I flipped that on its head! I told myself I’d rather have more healthy skin and wear less makeup and I’m so glad I did that!
I will definitely check these out and your blog too! That is so cool that we have all of that in common, it’s crazy what a small world it is! ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ˜‚
